This plant spreads rapidly and can be very invasive in forests. When crushed, the leaves smell of garlic. This plant can get up to 3 feet tall! Garlic mustard has a white taproot that has the scent of horseradish. Traditionally, this plant was brought to the United States for it's medicinal uses and as a kitchen herb. Today, the leaves are used in salads and can be eaten raw.
